INTRODUCTION
As the heavenly Father is God and the Son Jesus Christ is God, so the Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit as well as the Son was active in creation; he was active on certain occasions in his own person in Old Testament times and more intensively in the Gospels; in Acts, and the Epistles, he becomes the resident divine agent in the church and in its members. Teaching concerning the Holy Spirit has been neglected and distorted, so the subject deserves careful attention as one reads the New Testament.
Understanding the Holy Ghost speaks directly to the minds and hearts of modern men and women. The reader of these blogs will discover that the Holy Ghost is still in control, and that God is near, and that it clearly reveals God and His infinite care for His church. How that God provides for His people and pleading with them to accept His forgiveness and power to live changed lives - is a theme the author traces unfailingly throughout his exposition of these studies of the dramatic books of the Bible.
"The Spirit and the Bride says, 'Come.' "
"Let him who hears say, 'Come.' "
"Let him who is thirsty. . .take the water of life without price."
What more generous invitation could we wish for? These intensely felt words from the closing lines of Revelation reveals anew, God's deep desire to do us good and to secure our personal friendship.
In Understanding the Holy Ghost, we will see how that the Holy Ghost reveals God's care in many ways. God gave Daniel the image dream in time to save his life and the lives of the wise men - and to reveal to Nebuchadnezzar and ourselves important developments that were to occur in the future.
He preserved Daniel's friends from the fiery furnace. He sent an angel to spend the night with Daniel in the lion's den. The Holy Ghost is here to help and protect us today in some of the same ways which he has done throughout the many years of battle God's people have had in their walk to be closer to him in their faith and understand of God's word, Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, "brethren, I would not have you ignorant" God wants no one to be ignorant of His word and His promises revealed in His word, this is why Paul addressed the whole church and not just an individual.
The Holy Ghost is sent forth to undertake the task to "Seal" us, to set us on thrones, and to give us the water of life.
"The Spirit and the Bride says, 'Come' "

These blogs will be one that will help you to grow to know who God is as much as the Bible will reveal to us, because there are no words to define God, but there are some scriptures that will shine light on him that we can know who and what He is that wants us to love him so.
The Bible reveals God as the only infinite and eternal being, having no beginning and ending, he is creator and sustainer of all things, he is the supreme personal intelligence, and righteous ruler of his universe, he is life, and therefore the only source of life (John 5:26).
Man is natural and cannot know God by wisdom, "canst thou by searching find out God?" (Job 11:7) God is a person and can be known only by revelation, in the Old Testament he revealed himself to and through his prophets, in the New Testament he revealed himself through his son Jesus Christ (Heb. 1:1-3), and today through his Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
